A Farewell & A Thank-You from DDave
Friends & fellow tinkerers—
It’s time.
After more than a decade of late nights and early mornings, I’m closing DDave Mods.
We’ll be selling off the remaining inventory and tossing in gifts wherever we can along the way.
It was awesome—you were awesome—and together we proved that a simple idea, shared honestly,
can travel the world.
I started this to help medical patients and anyone who needed more from their gear.
Back in the day, we were swapping ideas on forums and pushing stock hardware past what it was “supposed” to do.
That’s where the original “DDave Mod” for the Arizer EQ/VTower took off—moving herb closer to heat,
speeding extraction, and making sessions cleaner and more efficient.
From there it snowballed. Adapters and wands that just worked.
The One-Hitter (Dugout) concept for fast, tiny loads that hit like a truck.
The MegAdapter for when you wanted bigger bowls and stronger sessions.
And along the way, I obsessed over the little things—like switching to 316 stainless basket screens
for cleaner flavor and longer life—because tiny parts change entire experiences.
“Because Stock don’t Rock!” wasn’t just a line; it was the mission.
You also let me try weird stuff. Cooling stems, capped basket screens,
crossover pieces that pulled double-duty, and eventually DIY ball-vape kits
so folks could build serious vaporizers without taking out a 2nd mortgage.
You didn’t just buy the parts—you learned, tested, and taught each other.
That spirit is why anything I made mattered.
A personal note: until 2024 I always worked two jobs—9-to-5 in cybersecurity,
then 5-to-9 serving this community. Because of your support, I put kids through college,
paid off the debts, and ended up with more than enough.
That’s a rare gift. Thank you for giving it to my family.
What I’m proudest of isn’t a specific adapter or screen.
It’s that a little shop, born out of patient care and curiosity, became known around the World.
That means something to me. And it only happened because you kept asking more
of your devices and more of me.
What happens now
Remaining stock will be listed and shipped until it’s gone—watch for extras in the box.
If you learned from my kits, keep going. Don’t just use what I gave you—deep dive.

PS to Kevin (Owner of Arizer?):
Back in 2012, I reached out with my first adapters and ideas for improving the V-Tower and EQ.
You kindly declined but wished me the best in my endeavors. That blessing meant a lot,
and it gave me the freedom to build what became DDave Mods.
Years later, Arizer would release their own “Connoisseur Bowl”—a piece clearly inspired by the MegAdapter.
Even their documentation echoed my original write-up: a dual-use bowl, one setup for smooth sessions,
the other for more powerful extractions.
While I would have welcomed a true partnership, I’m still grateful. Without your early reply,
I might never have had the courage to step out and share these mods with the world.
