DDavemods.com - partial return to service

  Greetings Friends,

Very pleased to announce the partial return to service of DDaveMods.com.
The partial return in order to fulfill some orders that were in the system at time of temporary cease of business activities.

Presently, Waterwand kits will be fulfilled.  Any EQ kits that were ordered during the cease operations will be refunded.   I cannot in good conscience fulfill them, when upon my return I will announce revamped EQ kits that will include new wands and additional functionality.

In the next 1-2 weeks, I expect to be able to fully return to serve this community.   The Out of Stock condition seen on product listings will then be removed.

Temporary Suspension of Business Activities


9/16 - It is with a heavy heart that I must post about a temporary suspension of business activities.   Carrier misfire has again left us short on stock and with orders delayed.  We have decided to take legal action.

In this regards,  all pending orders will be canceled/refunded, as we follow legal advice.

We are doing everything possible to be able to return to supplying you with cost effective mods for your herbal vaporizers!

(Our communications and participation in online social media forums will be extremely limited for the duration of this event).

Another DHL Misfire & voluntary out of stock implemented on eq kits

Greetings Friends,

It would seem the catch phrase "when it rains, it pours" has again caught us!
Amazon has misfired once again and another shipment of glass is on it's way to the Amazon Warehousing Black Hole.

In my usual disclosure practice, I'd like to let you all know the steps taken to avoid this situation.... which failed miserably.

Story:
  • 5 days ago, my shipper informed he would be sending two boxes containing my merchandise.
  • Immediately, I contacted DHL Tempe Arizona main relay center, as that is where their management team resides, and I gave proceeded to give them the tale of lost packages and Amazon's seeming practice to discard them... (As I've never been able to reclaim a package that was misfired to them).
  • Today rolls along and I see in DHL tracking updates that my merchandise has arrived and is being held at the DHL office.  DHL was contacted immediately and confirmed the presence of two boxes.   I advised I'd be arriving at their office in 1 hour to pick up the boxes.
  • (A one hour commute to pick up merchandise which I pay premium to have delivered safely to my requested location).
  • Arriving at the DHL office, SURPRISE-SURPRISE, they've misfired 1 of the boxes to Amazon.
  • The facility manager comes out, full of apologies, but also with this statement.   "We can't help ourselves.  Amazon is such a large customer, and we are so rushed, that we do send packages to them which are not their own"...   He did mention that they do this so regularly, that they send driver back to Amazon daily to retrieve the misfires.  [Really?   Not mine appearently!].  So, I proceed to advise him that I've never been able to reclaim the merchandise and while it's all insured and covered, I can't sell what I don't have.  Again, a flood of generic apologies and promises of merchandise reclaimed.
  • Before leaving, and in front of the other "will callers" at the facility, I made an offer to the DHL Onsite Facility manager.   FIFTY DOLLARS CASH FOR EVER BOX I AM ABLE TO PICK UP FROM THEIR FACILITY!   (Honestly, it's worth far more to be able to receive the packages successfully, regularly... so $50 is a drop in the bucket.)   Of course, he stated that wasn't necessary... and in turn I simply asked him that he prove it.
  • Upon returning to my location, I immediately called DHL in Tempe, requesting to speak to the manager who placed the original facility-hold request on my items.  Surprise, he wasn't available but I was promised a call within 90 minutes.
  • Two hours pass, no call.  So I call again.  Incoming flood of apologies from the call center rep, who then spent 25 minutes trying to gain a managers attention.
  • Ultimately I was told to call back on Monday.  (Sorry, did you just tell me to go pound sand?)

At this point, we've begun documenting the occurrences and are considering legal action against DHL for either "repeated carelessness resulting in disruption to business activities" or (and while this is a longshot, but we feel we can provide reasonable circumstantial evidence) intentional-planned disruption as we feel we took sufficient steps prior to the arrival of our merchandise with DHL, begging them to deliver to the intended recipient and not just bulk all incoming boxes in shipments to Amazon in order to make their timeframes, with no regard for the actual intended recipients.

Please know we are doing everything possible to remedy this unfortunate repeating carrier-misfire issue.

So in disclosing all this, we also are informing that we've gone into an out of stock condition on EQ kits in order to avoid selling merchandise which we do not have.

Shipping delay update and a little something for the wait

Greetings Friends,

Again, I come with apologies on the delays in getting EQ kits shipped out.   Wait, EQ kits?   What about the Dynavap stuff?   I've heard it's shipping quicker.   Well, you heard correct... but why?

Size.   In this case it matters.   The smallest EQ kit is much bigger than the largest DynaVap kit.   This means the items for the DynaVap offerings could be brought to our home so we could pack them afterhours and in much cooler temperatures.   The EQ stock is massive in comparison, so it remains remote and in turn, time and temp have limited available packing time.

So, during the past heatwave, the DynaVap stuff shipped sooner than the EQ and the EQ orders backed up.

Good news.  The weather has decided to hang in the upper 80s, so now the packing time on EQ kits can be increased.   We will get through this backlog.

And to make up for the inconvenience, any orders that gone unshipped for more than 5 days after placing, in addition to the usual goodies, they will also include the new EQ MegAdapter at no cost.  (Don't let the name scare you.   While it 'can' handle quite large doses, it does just fine with smaller ones too.)

Thanks for hanging in there with me and again apologies for the delays.
